Sushi Me? Sushi Yu! This restaurant has changed its name for some time now, and I finally had the chance to try it. The restaurant was not packed when I arrived for dinner, so there was no wait. There’s a lot of items on the menu, and when I went, they were also doing a buy one roll, get your second roll 50% off deal and 30% off certain items.
Appetizer
Baked Green Mussels – It’s been so long since I’ve had baked green mussels, so I knew I had to get this! It came with 6 pieces and was 30% off. It was pretty good, but smaller than other ones I’ve had. It did satisfy my cravings though.

Chirashi Bowl
Chirashi Bowl – The Chirashi Bowl came with miso soup. It was honestly a bit small for the price, and the cuts were average. There wasn’t anything too special about it, and I probably would not order it again. I was also not a fan of the ginger and wasabi – the ginger had an interesting flavor to it.

Sushi Rolls
Roll Up Roll – spicy crab meat wrapped with different kinds of sashimi served with mustard dressing – This was a no rice roll so I was excited to give it a try. It was very, very, saucy. Every bite was filled with fish which was nice, but at the same time, it was actually a bit much with the sauce. The seaweed on top added to the sauciness (and saltiness) too. This is definitely a roll to share, or make sure to pair it with another roll with rice!

Geisha Roll – tuna, salmon, cucumber, kaiware, gobo wrapped in seaweed, with wasabi mayo and chili oil – This was a huge contrast to the roll up roll. I liked how there was minimal sauce so you can really taste the quality of the fish. I would get this roll again!

Overall, Sushi Yu was average. If there’s a discount, I’d consider going. Otherwise, there are a lot of other better quality options in the same area and for a better price.
