It’s time for another Lakers game! I was so excited to be able to watch the LA Lakers vs Houston Rockets playoffs game live at Crypto.com Arena. The arena was even more packed with fans compared to the other Lakers vs Phoenix Suns game I went to, but luckily we did not have to wait long to enter the arena – we had seats in the VIP section. I made sure to bring a sealed bottle of water so that I can stay hydrated.

Before heading to our seats, we did a lap around the arena, which I have actually never done before! I’ve always thought you needed some special access to go through the Yaamava’ Club by San Manuel, but you can actually walk right through it. The small shop by our seats had some cool merch on sale too. I was so tempted to buy a keychain.

The first quarter was pretty exciting to watch. The Lakers scored points right from the beginning, and it looked so promising. As time went on though, the ball just wouldn’t go through the hoop! It kept spinning out of the basket or barely hit the rim. Sometimes the ball would just slip out of the player’s hand too. The crowd was watching so intensely. So many fouls were called, but the energy level was high. Whenever the Lakers scored, the audience had the loudest cheers I’ve ever heard in the arena – it started with the sound, then you see all the movement caused by fans standing up and waving their hands in the air following close after. Everyone in the crowd was participating in the chants with the hope that the Lakers would win.

All the way through the end, we had hope that the Lakers would still be able to catch up the score, but sadly, they did not win the game. It was so close, Rockets 99-93 Lakers. Despite the loss, this was definitely one of the best basketball game experiences though! I’d love to go to more Lakers games. Next time, I’m going to bring some Lakers gear – the kid in the row in front of us had a foam finger and made it on the big screen! Part of my leg made it in the background. I would also want to try binoculars next time, just to see how that would look.

Until next game!
