What’s On The Itinerary For Father’s Day?

Buying new clothes and shopping for groceries would usually pop up in your head when you think of shopping, but there’s another category we can’t forget: shopping for home improvement projects. That’s probably one of the things my dad loves most. Walking into a big hardware store is like a dream come true – just think of all the things you can build!

In addition to hardware stores, other retail stores can be equally attractive with their nice deals and cool gadgets. So what are some places to make a dad’s dream come true?

  • The Home Depot – Whatever you want to build at home, you’ll find all your materials and tools here. Put on your creative cap to think of ways to improve your home!
  • IKEA – I love seeing all the beautifully set up rooms at IKEA and thinking about how I can transform my room to look like that. My dad, on the other hand, loves visiting the as-is section – that’s where you can find some nice random pieces of wood for a good price! The easy-to-build furniture? It’s just not quite the same as building your own furniture from scratch.
  • Harbor Freight Tools – If you’re looking for a specific tool or something more unique, Harbor Freight Tools might just have exactly what you’re looking for. There’s so many options to choose from that you may end up with more than you need when you leave the store! Make sure to check out their weekly ad to see if they have any coupons too!
  • Office Depot and Target – You can sometimes find some deals on your tech accessories here. Good quality, good price, what more can you ask for? While this is more related to electronics, it’s still a place my dad really enjoys walking through every so often.
  • Costco – The more shopping you do, the more things you have to store right? If you don’t want to build a storage shelter in your backyard, Costco has big plastic boxes that go on sale once in a while. You’ll just have to find a place to store them.

Time for some shopping! Anywhere else we should go?
