The last time I’ve been to Universal Studios was when I was too short to ride Revenge of the Mummy. Now that I’m taller (and now that there’s The Wizarding World of Harry Potter), I had to go back! I bought a pass and was able to visit three times throughout the year (I wish I went more). Here are some of my favorite rides and things to do!
Rides
Jurassic World – I always love water rides, but I hate getting wet! One time I decided to skip the long line and wait in the single rider line instead and ended up in the front row on the right. I was hit by two big splashes and was drenched from head to toe! Who knew you could get so wet? Of course, this was the one time I wasn’t wearing my waterproof jacket on a water ride…what an experience!
The World-Famous Studio Tour – Go on the studio tour early to avoid the long lines. Depending on where you sit, it’s a different experience! I like the second seat from the outside – close enough to the action, but one seat away from getting thrown off the tram.
Revenge of the Mummy – I can’t remember the last time I screamed so much. This ride keeps you on the edge of your seat, and maybe you’ll get a little horrifying surprise riding this!
Things to Do
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Make this your first stop when you arrive! Try some Butterbeer or wander around to admire the shops and capture some cool photos while you’re there! Come back in the evening for the light show at Hogwarts Castle.
WaterWorld – I went in without any expectations of WaterWorld and loved it! Maybe I’ll try sitting in the splash zone next time.
Pass Member Park Takeover
The best part of the Pass Member Park Takeover was how empty the park was! The lines were so short I got to ride on Flight of the Hippogriff three times with only a few minutes wait! There was also a few dance floors, photo booths, discount at the shops, and Coca-Cola!
Here’s to a great year at Universal Studios Hollywood!
