A candlelit dinner with sushi had set the tone for the night. The restaurant was peaceful and laid back, which was perfect for some nice conversations. The meal left us feeling satisfied, but apparently something was missing.
I’m not much of a dessert person, but my friend suggested we go to a coffee shop called Copa Vida nearby. Going to a coffee shop after dinner? That’s new to me. In fact, it’s not often that I would even step into a coffee shop!
Copa Vida was located on the corner of the street. There were a few people sipping their drink inside while typing on their laptops, and we were greeted by friendly staff as we entered. The counter had cute little things for sale and there was even a whole wall with all their merchandise. My friend walked straight up to the counter as I admired the nice space.
My eyes looked at every corner of the coffee shop, but the one thing I avoided was the menu – there are so many options! Typically I would go for tea, but with this nice coffee shop vibe, I ended up deciding on something sweet and warm to wind down the night: Matcha Latte.
We walked to the other side of the wall (I had no idea the coffee shop had another side!) and chose a table as we waited for our drinks. My friend told me that on some evenings, there would even be live jazz music playing in the back too! It’d be cool to check that out when they have that again.
Our drinks were ready. My Matcha Latte came in a small cup – the perfect size to cup your hands around. I took a sip. It wasn’t too sweet and it tasted really good! It’s been so long since I’ve had anything like this.
We stayed at the coffee shop until the staff told us they were closing. It was so comfy and relaxing there we almost didn’t want to leave! The brick walls and furniture were great, but the company and Matcha Latte really perfected the night.
