Take Me Out To The Ball Game: Dodgers vs Angels

Guess where I’m at again? Another baseball game at Dodger Stadium! This was a very last minute decision – I was taking a nap in the afternoon and woke up to a text asking if I wanted to go to watch the Dodgers. My friend said he was treating too!

My initial reaction was no. I had just woken up, the game was in just a few hours, and I wasn’t planning to leave the house the rest of the day. I thought about it some more. I haven’t seen my friend in awhile and I checked who was playing – it was the LA Dodgers vs LA Angels! I decided to check it out.

There wasn’t too much traffic getting to Dodger Stadium, and we parked at a spot not too far away from the entrance. My friend had purchased the Japanese Heritage Night Ticket Package, so we each got an exclusive Japanese Heritage Night jersey! It was such a nice jersey – and it’s my first jersey!

We walked around the stadium before heading to our seats.

We got Top Deck seats – it was quite a walk to get there! After taking a few sets of stairs and escalators, we finally made it. We were very high up and the seats were really steep, but the views were really nice! We got really lucky and were in the shaded portion too. It was a bit hard getting in and out of the seats and the seats seemed a bit tight, but it was just enough space for me!

We watched the game for a bit, and then decided to take another lap around the stadium to meet up with some friends and buy some food. We checked out the shop before taking the elevator down to the 5th floor. This area was so packed but also so close to the field! People kept asking where I got the jersey from. We eventually ended up where we entered and found our friends.

We got in line at a couple of stands for food:

Chef Merito Carne Asada Nachos BaseBowl – tortilla chips topped with house marinated Carne Asada, nacho cheese, pinto beans, and jalapenos drizzled with sour cream – This was a bit smaller than I had expected, but it was still pretty good! If there was an option to add some diced tomatoes and raw onions to this, that would be perfect.
Grilled Dodger Dog – Gotta get a Dodger Dog when you’re at a Dodger game! Don’t forget to add ketchup and mustard (and relish? I didn’t see it) on the side.
Dole Whip Pineapple and Pomegranate Helmet – I was not expecting Dole Whip at Dodger Stadium! This was really good and refreshing – I wish I got another one!

I definitely paid more attention this game than the last two baseball games I went to. It was actually pretty interesting! The Dodgers scored a lot of points, and there was so much going on. We stayed for the seventh-inning stretch and headed out after the seventh inning. What a great and fun game to watch! I’m so happy my friend shared his extra ticket!

When will my next baseball game be?
