As someone who doesn’t really drink coffee often or know much about coffee, I walked into a coffee shop one day and asked for an iced cappuccino. The barista looked at me. “We don’t do iced cappuccino,” he said.
Awkward. I just responded with a disappointed “oh” and went for an iced latte. I wonder if that’s why I can’t remember when the last time I’ve had a cup of cappuccino – I like looking for iced drinks!
I had a second chance for a cup of cappuccino weeks later – this time, at a special invite-only coffee bar. This barista even offered me a choice between a hot or iced cappuccino, but after learning my lesson, I opted for the original one: a cup of hot cappuccino.
I sat at the counter as I waited, and very soon, my drink was ready. It smelled really good, and there was even latte art on it! I was so excited. Another offer came up – do you want a croissant with your coffee? I rejected the offer, but after a few seconds, I changed my mind – and it was one of the best decisions I made that day.
I slowly sipped my coffee and nibbled on the croissant in this calm and peaceful space. The cappuccino tasted amazing. It was just the right amount of sweetness, and the croissant and coffee combination was perfect. I didn’t know coffee could taste this good.
I can’t wait for the next invitation to this coffee bar!
