It’s The Weekend! Find Me In San Jose & San Francisco

It’s time for another weekend packed with exciting activities! This is probably one of my more relaxed, yet at the same time rushed, weekends that I’ve had.

Friday Afternoon

5:15pm

It’s time for some pickleball practice! Now that pickleball is getting so popular, the courts were full everywhere! Luckily, we were able to find a spot that had an open court, and we got to play with some people we just met too!

8:00pm

We had so much fun playing pickleball that we didn’t leave until almost 8:00pm! It’s time to eat – we stopped by Layang Layang Malaysian Cuisine for some dinner: Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, Princess Tofu, Chow Kueh Teow Fried Noodle, Green Kari Beef, and Malaysia Fried Rice! The portions were a bit small, but the food was good!

Saturday

8:15am

What’s better than waking up to the smell of coffee? Waking up to a nice cup of cappuccino.

9:15am

It’s time to head to St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in San Francisco! It was the Diaconate Ordination of one of our friends, so of course we had to be there!

1:00pm

Is it lunch time or snack time? We decided to go to Jina Bakes for some pastries! I was so excited to try their cream puffs and Hojicha Latte!

2:00pm

Now, it’s lunch time. We made our way to Bodega, a Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but since we ordered a lot of different dishes, I got to try a lot of things!

5:00pm

We didn’t finish eating until almost 3:30pm, then headed back to San Jose! After some resting and more pickleball, we decided that we should grab dinner before everything closed.

7:30pm

We went to Tomisushi to place our order. I got a regular chirashi bowl. While we waited, we took a stroll around Mitsuwa and Daiso. This Mitsuwa is bigger than the one I usually go to, and has so many more cool items! I was so tempted to buy something.

Sunday

10:00am

Today is a day to relax! I started off the day by making my very first (two) cups of Hojicha Latte to enjoy with my croissant! It was so simple – add in the powder, water, milk, and it is ready! I definitely need to work on making it look nicer, but the taste was delicious.

12:30pm

It’s time for pickleball! There was a pickleball tournament going on nearby, so of course, I had to go check it out! The games were going on for a long time, but luckily there was some nice shade under the trees. I had a great time catching up with some friends that I haven’t talked to in a long time!

2:00pm

For lunch, we made a quick stop at Riceburrito and Moomo Tea. The Crunchy Purple-Riceburrito was so good (and spicy) – I wish I got two of them! I got the Matcha Brown Sugar Boba Latte from Moomo Tea.

4:30pm

I got to see a few more friends before running off to catch a flight! Our conversations were cut short, but I was able to grab a quick (or not so quick) dinner at In-N-Out and made it to my gate just 10 minutes before boarding!

It was a very eventful weekend, and I can’t wait for the next adventure!
