It’s time for a weekend of delicious food – are you ready?
Wednesday Evening
10:00pm
I hopped on a delayed flight, and landed at the airport…pretty late. What’s close by? An In-N-Out. Do I really want a burger at night? Not really, so I got fries.

Thursday
7:30am
I woke up in a Snoopy-themed room and a cappuccino! What a great way to start my full day of work (yes, there is still work on Thursdays).

11:00am
Lunch delivery! Today’s lunch is a delicious turkey sandwich! At first I was unsure if I would like this sandwich, but it turned out to be really good!

8:00pm
After a long day of hard work and hanging out with my best friend (he loves his new s-poon, by the way), it’s time for dinner at Udon Mugizo. I got the Tonkotsu Udon. I loved the chashu!
Tonkotsu Udon – pork & fish broth, 3pcs premium chashu, shrimp tempura, seasoned boiled egg, garlic, green onions, boiled spinach, fish powder, tempura bits

Friday
8:00am
A new day, a new cappuccino.

12:00pm
It’s time to visit Google…for lunch! I was so excited. There were so many options! I got to try some noodles, poke, sushi, buns, and even got a matcha latte! It was such a wonderful meal.

6:15pm
In the blink of an eye, it was already time for dinner. Tonight’s dinner is a nigiri sushi platter and a DIY hand roll kit from The Backhouse! Dinner could not have been better. The fish was SO good.
Nigiri Sushi Platter – featuring an assortment of fresh, seasonal fish – typically salmon, kona kanpachi, and tuna.
DIY Hand Roll Platter – comes with king salmon, spicy mayo scallop, california, and tuna. Accompanied by rice, nori, and cucumber.

7:30pm
Dessert came next. A Hojicha Sesame Crumble Sponge Cake, Basque Cheesecake, Blueberry Yogurt Sponge Cake, and Matcha Tiramisu!

10:40pm
To wrap up the night, we learned how to play a new game – Quarry Quarrel. It was such an interesting game!

Saturday
10:30am
Finally, a day to sleep in before heading to Moonwake Coffee Roasters. I got a Cardamom Orange Latte and a Mushroom Tart!

12:00pm
Meet my new friend, Alpaca!

1:30pm
We heard some great things about Tấm Tấm Rice from Local Kitchens, so of course we had to try it out! We also stopped by Macu Tea for a drink to complete our meal. This Rich Pork Belly Tam was exactly what I needed. I just wish the portions were a bit bigger!
The Pork Belly Tam – Braised pork belly, broken rice, pork & egg quiche, pickled mustard greens, pickled daikon & carrot, Persian cucumber, tomato, scallion oil, crispy onion, cilantro, sweet fish sauce

7:00pm
A few hours of pickleball, then we’re back to eating again. This time, for dinner. We stopped at Sizzling Lunch. I forgot how oily pork belly can be (especially when it’s getting cooked right in front of you)!

9:15pm
A special dessert from ROM Kitchen. It was not too sweet. Board games followed. Sequence is so much fun – especially if you win every time!

Sunday
10:30am
Time to hang out at The Hub with some homemade kimbap!

4:30pm
Time for Mass and to meet a new baby friend!
6:35pm
Have I just been eating the whole weekend? It’s already dinner time – this time at Korean Spring BBQ! Too bad we didn’t have more time to eat.
Dolsot Bibimbap – rice mixed with beef with spicy sauce in hot stone pot

That’s a wrap! What a long weekend with so much good food and experiences. Until next time!
