I’m back at Girl & the Goat for another meal! I could not stop thinking about the delicious Grilled Pineapple Salad from my first visit, so when I had the chance, of course I had to order it again! I sat in the outdoor area this time, and the lighting was great.
Here’s what I ordered:
Naan & dips – tahini tofu, carrot ‘hummus’ – I really liked the tahini tofu dip!
Crispy Greens Salad – avocado, strawberries, pickled veggies, pepita crunch, herby dressing – I wasn’t sure I would like this because of the strawberries (I love strawberries, but I’m not a fan of having fruit in my salad), but this turned out to be my favorite dish!
Grilled Pineapple Salad – sweet potato noodles, chili-lime crunch, black eyed peas, pickled veggies – This was my favorite dish last time, and this time, it was made with different ingredients (the first time it had green mango, pickled fresnos, jasmine rice, coconut crunch)! It also had a spicier kick to it this time, which I was not expecting. While it was still good, I do like the first one I had more.
Grilled Corn – spiced coconut caramel, tajin – Although it was messier to eat, the flavor was great!
Chickpea Fritters – goat yogurt, herb chutney, tamarind, sev crunch
Sticky Glazed Pork Shank – shiitake, Asian pear, hoisin mayo, hot mustard, naan, lettuce cups – The meat fell right off the bone, and was delicious with the lettuce cups, shiitake, and Asian pear! The meat was flavorful and tasty even without any additional sauce.
