I attended my very first WNBA game! It was the Los Angeles Sparks vs. Connecticut Sun game, and I got to enter Crypto.com through the VIP entrance! I brought a small bag to hold my phone and wallet, and we were also able to bring a sealed plastic water bottle into the arena which was nice.

At the entrance, the staff scanned our tickets and handed us a LA Sparks hat – what a cool swag! We went up the escalator, then walked through the hallway and checked out some of the concession stands before heading to our seats. I was surprised that the food was not as expensive as I thought – you can actually order food for less than $10! I wonder if the prices change for different games.

The seats were so comfy and the a/c was perfect. There’s even a cup holder behind the chair in front of you to hold your drink. The arena was not packed and we actually had the entire row to ourselves. Soon after we sat down, the game started.
Each quarter was only 10 minutes long with a 15 minute halftime break, and after the halftime, the teams switch sides. The Connecticut Sun scored a lot of points in the first two quarters, but started missing a lot more shots in the last two quarters. They also had a lot of fouls! The LA Sparks passed the ball to each other very cleanly and smoothly. They also had two players who were really quick with dribbling the ball to the front and making a shot!
It was very interesting how quickly the song or chant will change when the ball goes to the other team. The MC had a lot of enthusiasm. People showed up on the big cam for dancing to the music, having cool LA swag, and even for pretending to DJ! During halftime, I thought there would be a halftime show, but the dancers didn’t come out until after third quarter. One of the coolest parts was when they asked all the attendees to turn on their cell phone lights and wave it in the air.

Congrats to LA Sparks on the win! Both teams were good and fun to watch, and it was intense through the fourth quarter watching the scores for both teams move up. Next basketball game? I want to watch the NBA!
