It’s time for dinner at an Indian restaurant! This was a very unexpected choice, since the original plan was to have Korean food for dinner. I didn’t even know where we were going until a couple hours before!
We got to the restaurant right when it was supposed to open for dinner. The “CLOSED” sign was still up. One of the staff unlocked the door, then seated us at a table by the window. It was warm inside. The lighting inside the restaurant was great, since there were so many big windows for the sunlight to shine in. There is also an area for outdoor seating which was not open.
The server came by and showed us the QR code to scan for the menu. It’s the same menu as the one on their website. There were a lot of different items to choose from, which made it a bit difficult to navigate because you had to keep scrolling down to see everything. There were photos for a few of the dishes which was very helpful, but I wish there was a description for the items! Here’s what we decided to order:
Garlic Naan and Butter Naan – I liked the Garlic Naan a lot more than the Butter Naan. The Butter Naan didn’t have as much flavor, and I had to dip it in the curries we got for more flavor. The server had recommended one order per person, but one order would’ve been enough for two people since we also had other dishes to eat.
Saag Paneer – I will definitely order the Saag Paneer again next time! I really liked the taste of this, and there were a few pieces of tofu in it too! We made sure to eat all the curry by wiping the bowl with our naan!
Butter Chicken – The Butter Chicken was very creamy with small pieces of chicken. The portion was a bit smaller than I had expected, but was great with the naan!
Chicken Tikka – The Chicken Tikka is another dish I’d order next time. It was so flavorful even the veggies that came with it were delicious, and is a great option if you’re looking for something more meaty.
Lamb Biryani – We ordered this with mild spicy, and it truly was mild! I think I would have enjoyed it just as much if we had gotten medium spicy, which I’ll have to check out next time! There’s also Chicken and Shrimp Biryani as well that I want to try.
This was a good meal that I was not expecting. All the main dishes we ordered were tasty! We had just the right amount of food, although slightly bigger portions at that price would’ve been nice.
