With the Olympics coming up in LA in 2028, so many people have been talking about getting tickets and how hard (and expensive) the tickets are. To better prepare myself for when I can purchase tickets, I started my own list to see what games I would want to watch and ranked each game! These are the events / sports I want to see:

Opening Ceremony
It would be so cool to watch the Opening Ceremony in person! The starting price is not cheap, but it would definitely be an experience of a lifetime. The upper end of the price range is quite high though – I probably wouldn’t pay much more than the $328.

I love the speed of the ping pong ball in table tennis. The Mixed Team games sound very interesting – it would be cool to see how players from different countries play with each other! As much as I love table tennis though, I don’t think I’d want to pay more than $150.

Fencing
Fencing seems like such a cool sport. I like how the movements are so quick, but at the same time, you’re holding your breath to see who would score next. I would love to check out the fencing games – especially the Men’s Foil Individual ones! How much would I want to pay? Less than $150.

It’s been so long since I’ve watched diving, but I did watch a few clips from the 2024 Paris Olympics and it reminded me of when I would always be scared climbing up to the diving board, but the moment I finally gathered the courage to jump off, it was so satisfying. For diving, I’d be willing to pay up to $200.

Badminton
I used to love playing badminton (except for all the running involved). Once I stopped for awhile though, it was so hard to pick back up! The way you play badminton is so different from other sports like table tennis and pickleball, so switching between the sports is difficult. I remember telling my teachers about badminton when I was a kid and they seemed to have never heard of badminton…if I were to watch a badminton game, I’d want to watch the Men’s Doubles match, hopefully for under $200!
