Since creating my short travel bucket list in 2020, I’ve been able to visit Hawaii, Washington, and Texas. I don’t visit states as often as I travel internationally, but it’s time to update my list! Here are the next top five states I want to visit that I haven’t visited before:
- New York – So many people have asked if I have been to New York and are shocked to find out that I have not! Not only do I want to try the food and go up the Empire State Building, I’m also very curious about their public transportation! I would want to check it out in the spring or fall.
- Illinois (Chicago) – Walkable with nice architecture is what I want to check out in Chicago, and as I eat some good food! This would be a destination I would also want to check out in the spring.
- Oregon (Portland) – I have heard about the fruit picking in Portland, and would love to go! Maybe I can do some fishing while I’m there too.
- Alaska – The northern lights is something I’d want to see at least once in my life! Too bad it’s not guaranteed that you can see it when you visit Alaska.
- Colorado (Denver) – Although I am not much of a nature person, the photos of the beautiful landscapes of Colorado are so pretty I want to see it in person!
Other locations:
- Washington, D.C. – How have I not visited Washington, D.C. yet? I want to know too. I wasn’t able to go when my school did a trip there (it was very expensive), and after so many years, it’s still on my list.
I don’t plan to check out all these places this year, but we’ll see how many I can visit over the next few years!
