5+ Places to Eat at After Quarantine

As restaurants are opening up for dine-in after months of offering only delivery and takeout, it’s not too early to think about where you want to eat at again, even if you’re not going to go there right away. There’s so much good food out there that taste a lot better if you eat it right when it’s served! It’ll probably be another few months until I finally eat inside a restaurant, but having a list gives me something to look forward to every day! Here are the top “five” places I want to eat at:

1. Menya Hanabi

The last restaurant I ate at before quarantine was Menya Hanabi, known for its mazesoba. The soupless ramen is so flavorful and yummy I can’t wait to go back!

2. Pisces Poke & Ramen

Favorite poke place? Pisces Poke & Ramen! It’s not your typical build-your-own-bowl, but the poke here is carefully crafted to bring out the best taste, leaving you craving for more. Paired with their sweetened iced tea, it’s a perfect meal!

I’ve had a few of their poke plates, but I think their Truffle Salmon Poke Plate is the best. Read more about my experience here.

3. Kang Ho-dong Baekjeong

Good things come to those who wait…if you can wait that long. The lines at Kang Ho-dong Baekjeong may be over an hour, but when you finally bite into your piece of meat, you will forget all the time you had spent waiting and just enjoy the food. My mouth is already watering thinking about the food here!

4. Chinese Food

Dim Sum

Whether it’s dim sum at Monterey Palace Restaurant or Atlantic Seafood Restaurant, count me in! This is the type of food you have to enjoy at a restaurant. There’s nothing quite the same as hearing the sounds of people chattering and the carts coming by with lots of dim sum to choose from as you quietly sip your tea.

Lake Spring Restaurant

Looking for Shanghai cuisine? Look no further! I can’t wait to eat some of my favorite dishes again, especially their Local Flavor Lamb, Shanghai Style Spare Ribs, Mung Bean Sheets & Salted Cabbage, and Shanghai Steamed Dumplings. Start off your meal with hot & sour soup and end your meal with a very unique dessert: Mixed Steamed Rice Cake!

101 Noodle Express

Beef noodle soup, beef rolls, steamed pork buns, dumplings, side dishes – sign me up, I’m ready to eat them all!

You Kitchen

Only a few steps away from 101 Noodle Express is You Kitchen. I like to drop by for their Beef Rolls and Sichuan Dandan Noodles!

Mr. Chopsticks Seafood Restaurant

My top choice for Cantonese dishes is Mr. Chopsticks! I typically go here for their lunch specials, but if you have a large party for dinner, pre-order their famous winter melon soup – you won’t regret it. The food here is delicious, and their ginger milk curd is a must try for dessert!

5. New Noodle City

When it comes to pho, you can either make it at home or eat it at a restaurant – pho for takeout is just not as good. My choice would be to eat it at a restaurant, since I don’t know how to make it! What’s better than a steaming bowl of pho?

Of course, the places listed above are not the only places I want to eat at – and that’s why I’ve prepared an additional list below, including places that I’ve been wanting to try!
