Watching a pickleball tournament takes a bit more preparation than just showing up! You need to make sure you have everything you need for the big day. Here is my pickleball tournament packing list:
- Portable Chair – A portable chair makes such a big difference if you are watching games for the entire day. There may not be open seats by the court, and you will be left standing for the whole day! At the last tournament I went to, I was able to bring a small portable chair that was easy to open and close, easy to carry, and comfortable to sit on!
- Reusable Water Bottle – No matter what time of the year it is, you would want to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. My bottle even has a pickleball sticker on it!
- Sunscreen – Sunscreen is a must, especially if you are watching an outdoor game! Be sure to reapply sunscreen every few hours too.
- Hat & Sunglasses – Even with sunscreen on, a hat can serve as extra protection for your face, and of course, you also need sunglasses to protect your eyes!
- Snacks – It’s going to be a long day watching pickleball matches! Carry some snacks with you so you don’t miss any second of the game!
- Sweat Towel – On a hot day, a sweat towel will help cool you down. I was very glad I had my sweat towel with me at this last tournament!
- Carabiner – This comes in super handy if you need to hang your bag up on a fence or on a chair.
- Light Jacket – As the evening approaches, the weather will be much nicer and might even get chilly. Bring a light jacket with you in case it gets too cold!
- Tote Bag – If there are sponsors at the tournament, there will be plenty of cool swag to grab! Have a tote bag ready to help carry everything!
- Portable Charger – How long can the battery on your phone last if you are capturing photos and videos of the game? Pack a portable charger to recharge your phone!
